SERVICE DISCRIPTION

Bye law department is responsible for the Enforcement and administration of Council Bye laws and all Central Government Legislations delegated to Local Authorities. It is also responsible for dissemination of information to Local Authorities on Bye-laws as well protection of Council Property. The Local Government Act, 2012 Section 51 establishes Bye Law Enforcement Department to enforce bye-laws made by council, Section 52(1) makes provision for the appointment of Bye Law Enforcement officers who shall have powers of arrest, section 53(1).

 

HOW DO I APPLY/ ACQUIRE THE SERVICE

Enforcement of bye laws and delegated legislations, apply services per statues

 

COST INVOLVED IN OBTAINING THE SERVICES

  1. Enforcement and take action against offenders who contravene the Central District Council Bye-laws and Delegated legislation by imposing admission of guilty fines.

  2. Services which customers are required to pay
